The Problem:
No one wants their customers reporting a broken functionality on their Twitter feed. Not many of them will reach out to your support team and engage in a ‘never-ending’ loop of explaining the problems along with ‘screenshot’ and other technical details (like Operating System and Browser Information).
Things break in production, and even if they don’t, there will always be a need for improvements. You might say, oh, I have a feedback widget in-place, and customers can always share their feedback anytime they want. That’s awesome, but it solves part of the problem we are trying to address – Take customer feedback along with the screenshot of the area of interest with technical details so your development team can reproduce this issue at their end. You might also be using bug tracking software, so you always want to create the relevant ticket with full details.
The Solution
At Feedbackrig, we provide a “Visual Feedback” widget, which works similarly to the “Feedback button,” but you can also attach an application or website’s screenshot with it directly from your website (No need to install third-party screenshot software or plugin).
Not only that, but you can also integrate it with a bug tracking system (check out our integrations) to make sure every incoming feedback is tracked automatically with the screenshot and other technical info( like user’s operating system, browser information, and screen size).
It simplifies the back and forth communication needed to complete this activity in just one single step.
How to Create Visual Feedback Widget

Creating a visual feedback widget is super easy. You just need to choose ‘visual feedback’ from the ‘create-a new campaign’ menu button and provide the required details: Question Title, feedback control, additional information settings, etc.
Once the campaign has been set up, it will generate a script that you can embed in your application.
If you want to enable this feature on certain features like 404 and 500 pages, you can also do so, and the widget will only be visible on those pages.
How Visual Feedback Works

Users can mark the Feedback as a bug or improvement using smiley icons and then have the option to select the area of interest of their application or website.

Once the Feedback is submitted using the widget – It will be instantly available in your Feedbackrig’s dashboard and also in your (bug tracking tool like Trello board).

Feedback is useful as it contains the following:
- Sentiment or rating using smiley icons.
- Customer Feedback (taken using open-ended textbox)
- Application Screenshot with an area of interest
- Technical Details such as Device, Browser, OS, and Screen Resolution information.
It also allows you to email this Feedback to anyone in your organization (directly from the app).
If you have configured one of our integration like Trello, this Feedback will also be logged in the Trello board of your choosing.
Visual Feedback offers a trendy way to not only provides a smooth customer experience but also automates bug tracking by removing the friction that exists in traditional approaches.
